Cyclopoida
Cyclopoida is an order of copepods, which are small crustaceans found in both freshwater and marine environments. They are an important part of the food web, serving as prey for larger organisms and contributing to the recycling of nutrients.
Common Names
Cyclopoida are commonly referred to as "cyclopoids" or "cyclopid copepods."

They are free-swimming and possess strong swimming legs for locomotion.

- Freshwater lakes and ponds
- Marine waters, both near shore and in the open ocean
