Crinoidea

Sea lilies and feather stars are a class in the phylum of echinoderms. The Crinoidea comprise about 600 species. The scientific name is derived from ancient Greek and means “lily.”
Out of over 5,000 species of sea lilies, only about 25 extant genera remain. The majority of extant species belong to the order of feather stars (Comatulida).
