The Crisp Pillow Coral typically inhabits the subtidal, sublittoral, infralittoral, and deep zones of the oceans, spanning from the lower limit of the intertidal zone to the shelf edge at approximately 200 meters water depth. This places it within the neritic zone, a marine environment characterized by its proximity to the coastline and relatively shallow depths. This broad distribution reflects its ability to adapt to a range of environmental conditions, making it a common sight in these underwater ecosystems.
